Years of wound closure wood produced “ram’s horn” which jump the closure wood apart causing internal cracks not evident when viewing exterior tree. “Star” or “Spider-heart” cracks did not develop in the stem. However, bark fissure is present outside of included bark where “ram’s horn” met.
